I purchased a custom spa cover 9 months ago. The vapor barrier developed a leak. I originally wasn’t going to hold it against them. Stuff happens. Then, I actually inspected the issue. It failed in two separate locations. The seam split and the interior backside had impact damage. It came with a one year warranty. I filed a claim. I was told, “We don’t normally honor warranty claims, but we’ll send you a new liner. Use a wide tape to seal it.” This was a really big expense, and their solution is likely to fail prematurely.
