My mom has lived at Valley House for almost 4 years and she wanted me to post a review for her. This review is written by my mom. My husband and I moved to Castle Rock from Albuquerque, NM in October of 2016 and were living with our daughter and son-in-law for six months when I took a fall and needed a lot of extra help. Castle Country Assisted Living- Valley House -rescued my husband and me when a family member of his decided to move from Oregon and live with us. This was not a practical move as we had a tri-level home and they had some walking challenges. Castle Country truly values each resident and their quality of life. They have amazing staff, food and work very hard to keep every resident engaged in activities. They also care deeply about the resident's family and the importance of transparency and communication. They genuinely provide a wonderful home away from home.
My brother was at Valley House for 3 years and it was the perfect place for him. It has a very homey environment, with caregivers who connected with him with love and patience. Whenever I was looking for assisted living for him I was delighted that there was an opening, because I had been aware of the facility since it was built. It's part of a non-profit created by a couple of local ladies who saw a need for good senior care in Castle Rock.
