Highly recomend Castillo Restaurant if you want authentic, tasty Dominican food. The Pernil, Mofongo and Chicharrón were excellent. The meats were tender- falling off the bone with on point seasoning. El Sazon buenisimo. The Mofongo was the best I have ever had. Finally the portions are generous and the prices very reasonable. Definitely worth visiting. I forgot to take pictures as I was too excited about the food. lol!
This place makes one of the best pernil you will ever taste and need. Plus the Chicharron is amazing as well, you could never go wrong with both orders. They have never gotten my order wrong and their service is quick and easy when you walk in and you pick it up. Now I have ordered as well through DoorDash and they haven’t gotten my order wrong, but I prefer to go in person and pick out the pieces of meat that I want in my order. Plus, their empanadas are delicious and they’re made to order
The fries were oily, dry, and not well-salted. I’ve had better. Drinks are served with too much ice. The owner LUVS ice. Fair warning. Passaic is my hometown.
