This place has the best food in Canon Beach. The food is interesting, crafted, and delicious. The menu is much more interesting. The staff is also very friendly. The atmosphere is great as well. I highly recommend it, especially for a birthday or date night. The curry dish and lobster bisque are amazing.
We enjoyed a lovely meal here last night. The food was was innovative and well done. I had the Étouffée and my wife had the grilled halibut cheeks and crab. Both meals exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent and we enjoyed ourselves. Overall, I would recommend.
Best meal in Cannon Beach, and one of our favorite restaurants we've ever visited. My husband and I stay in Cannon Beach every year for our anniversary and we make a point to eat at Castaways as often as possible - sometimes even twice in one day! The food is incredible, we literally crave the lobster bisque all year long. We can't wait to come back! Don't miss an opportunity to dine here; the meals are creative and delicious, and the service is friendly and inviting. Enjoy!

Four of us enjoyed dinner on a Thursday evening. We had a 7:00 reservation and had to wait a few minutes for the table to clear, no big deal. We were seated, ordered cocktails, and selected our meals. Cocktails delivered, all very tasty. Our server then proceeded to deliver a complimentary appetizer of heirloom tomatoes and burrata cheese as a thank you for being patient while we waited for our table.
