We went in the summer to do a meet and greet with the dogs. It was so much fun. The dogs are so well trained. I learned so much! The owner is amazing and she truly loves each and every one of her dogs. It was really cool to see how much time and investment she puts into her job.
What an incredible experience. Dog sledding and ice fishing all rolled into one. We happened to go on a very cold day, even by Ely standards, and we still had a blast. David and Peter were great guides. The dogs were a joy to be around and dearly love their jobs. If you are wanting a cookie cutter, easy, low-risk / low-reward trip, this is not the one for you. If you are wanting a personalized, educational, exhilarating, legitimate hands-very-much-on experience, then this is most definitely the one for you!
The day dogsledding was epic!. We travelled 1500 miles to get to Cast Adventures, and it was totally worth it!!. Mushing our own dog team was a once in a lifetie experience. Dave is an excellent and patient tour guide, and, he treats his dogs very well too.
Loved the dogs. Loved the people. Loved the mission. Dogsledding should be on everyone’s bucket list, particularly around Ely. The scenery is spectacular and it’s so peaceful to be out in the north woods. We really enjoyed getting to know Mary, Dave and Peter. Peter took us out and was great about sharing the details of the area. He also had a great deal of patience with me as I tried to master “mushing”. Thank you Dave and Heather! For the second year in a row you have given our Granddaughter the most amazing experiences she could hope for. Your dogsled trips are amazing and you make everyone feel so comfortable and at ease. By far, the most valuable thing you do is share your love, passion and commitment to your dogs as well as to your guest’s experience and education.
