The experience that we had was remarkable. We had originally scheduled for a sunset tour but the temps were forecasted to be too warm, making midday-evening conditions unsafe and unenjoyable for the dogs. Peter called us the evening before to see if our schedule allowed us to shift to a morning excursion. We made the shift and it was wonderful. We are so so glad we chose to go through Cast for our dog sledding experience. Peter was a fabulous guide! They were very accommodating for us to bring our infant along, both my husband and I got to spend lots of time driving, and we loved how personal and off the beaten path the trip felt. Meeting all the dogs was such a joy, I didn’t worry at all about having my child around them, they were all so affectionate. Thanks for a great and memorable time!!
We had the most FANTASTIC fun dogsledding with Peter, from Cast Outdoor Adventures! He took time to tell us all about the dogs and show us their immaculate kennels. We then traveled to our launch site a few miles away for an 16-mile out/back trek through woodlands and Boundary Water lakes. The scenery was stunning and the dogs were super exciting. Wow, wow!!! They came and gave us a talk about dog sledding-it was very interesting and they treat their dogs humanely.
The temperature was -35 by they made the dogsled ride doable. Shortened distance but still really fun. Dave & Peter made a real effort to get us out in the snow and enjoying the dogs and total experience. Thank you!
