Dr. Ryne Paulson was incredibly impatient with my 7 year old autistic son who was scared due to it being his first cleaning. Dr Paulson also spoke down to my husband and I. My son asked to be done multiple times and Dr Paulson said “we are done when I say we are done” and said plenty of other rude and unnecessary comments. He threatened my son that if he wasn’t good and sat still that he would make myself and my husband leave the room. I am my son’s comfort and the fact that I was used as a punishment is infuriating. For the record, the dental assistants and other staff are absolutely wonderful. The Dentist is less than impressive. Our son had his second appointment but it was his very first cleaning, so he was nervous and didn’t know what was happening. He did well while the assistant was cleaning his teeth, but the Dentist got very short with him as he started getting fidgety.
