Rented a roll off dumpster from them. Filled it with dry cardboard, wood, Osb etc. they said they would pick it up Tuesday which was good cause it had been good weather. They waited until Friday to pick it up right AFTER a huge 2 day rain storm so everything inside was thoroughly soaked and weighed DOUBLE. If you ever felt soaked Osb and cardboard it doubles in weight. Well they call me Friday afternoon telling me how I owe them double the amount due I was told due to the weight. My husband had surgery yesterday, and I forgot to put out the trash for pick up this morning. This dawned on me as the truck was coming up our driveway. I didn't think I would get out there in time, and resigned myself to that. Then I noticed that the truck was still in our driveway, and the driver was looking at the house, waiting. I stuck my hand out the door to signal him that I saw him, and quickly collected our trash. He met me at the door to take the bag from me. Awful hours and unprofessional employees.. you’d think for a larger town (compared to the rest in maine) they would adhere to the company (cassella) standards.. only open 3 days a week combined with super inconsistent and inconvenient hours.. most times I have to take the trash because my husband is working.. so I’m left with a weeks worth of trash to handle because of the lack of care and consistency this facility has .. it seems as if no one there has any sense of integrity or work ethic.. half of the time the employees ar... read more
