Sure do miss PSI. Casalla took over for them and the service has dropped off significantly. Originally I was able to put out six standard 30 gallon cans and as much recycling as i want. Then they switched to the 96 gallon tote. I called because it was about half the garbage capacity. They tried to convince me the 96 gallon tote was equivalent to six standard cans that had 180 gallons of capacity. Then they said if have more garbage just put a bag next to the tote. I am extremely disappointed with Casella Waste Systems in Batavia, NY. On multiple occasions, they have failed to pick up all of my trash. When I called customer service to report the issue, I was told a note would be placed on my account for the driver to pick up the excess trash the following week and that I should leave it on my lawn. The next week came, and once again the trash was not picked up. When I confronted the driver about it, he responded by giving me the middle finger and driving away. Changed service day without notifying us - resulting in two weeks of missed pickup. We tried moving service with us to another address (and agreed to move toters as well) but were told we’d be paying additional fees for pickup at the house we are moving from and at the house we are moving to. Customer service was rude and would not get me to a supervisor when asked. Cancelled service instead. Treat your customers better - you aren’t the only provider in the area!
So, pickup is Friday. The truck went by the house without stopping. Called. On hold about an hour. They told me totes weren't out. I have video evidence they are. Told they will pick up Monday if not picked up late Friday. Monday comes. Trash not picked up. Numerous excuses. Told that there is no truck in the area Tuesdays, they'll pick up Wednesday. They WERE a better choice for the Batavia area with price. Then charged for bins. Then gradually started increasing prices without explanation. Monthly! So I switched to a far better LOCAL company. And when I tried to switch casella charged me an Additional month- so call the number you see on the bright YELLOW cans you see around town. You’ll be happier and spend half as much. I know I am.
