Two different customer service agents promised to call with updates on an ongoing issue (trash was not picked up two weeks in a row). Neither agent called back. A third agent (Jen) seemed inconvenienced by my call, but reluctantly offered to schedule a third attempt to pickup my trash and provide an update in one week. I had very good service until the month of October, 2025, but an entire month of multiple issues with Casella on Lake Road in Elmira, NY has me looking for new service.
We just moved to Elmira NY from Indiana and got our supposed new garbage container, I have to say how utterly disgusted I am with the garbage container we received, it had years of stinking filth in it!! I am appalled that this is the kind of service one receives here in the state of NY especially when taxes etc are so high!! At least in other states you get given a new and clean container and not one that is bacteria infested with someone elses muck!! Fuming is an understatement!
Customers for many years, but the price just kept increasing and increasing. Also finally got fed up with them picking up between 3am to 6am in a residential area and waking several of us up once a week. The truck isn’t as quiet as you think especially if your windows are open. Plus we had several instances with bears getting in to the cans over night. Switched to a local company lower price and picks up during the day.
Very helpful staff, over the phone. Very kind and considerate.
Pretty expensive and sometime they dont show up. Call them and get told they’re running late. 8 hours late? They’ll be there I’ll text them. Never show.
