OVS Lafayette, and Jim Malo specifically, have saved me more than once. I'm not only on a well, but have a two large rainwater collection tanks hooked up to my barn gutters via a sump pump/tank. I recently had a “no water” situation at my house, and OVS sent out Jim Malo to take a look. Honestly, he was a lifesaver. He figured out the electrical issue in less than 10 minutes, which already had me impressed. Then he went straight to work on the pump, pulled it, reset everything, and had me back up and running with water in about 3 hours total. That kind of turnaround is rare these days. The worst company I have ever dealt with. They performed the well inspection for the home we are purchasing. We chose them because they’re local, do vineyard testing, and initially offered reasonable prices and scheduling. On the first call, I was quoted $125/hr for the flow test (the buyer wanted 2 hours), with an additional $50–60 if a pump truck was needed, plus a $10 gas surcharge. Fair enough.
