I booked my room relatively last minute, and stayed in their “base camp 5A”. From the reviews of their main lodge and cabins, I thought it would be a good experience, but I did not feel that the room was worth the price. The location is beautiful right across from the lake, but the room was in much need of repairs. The shower was literally being held together with tape. Cabins were a cute blend of kitsch and contemporary. We stayed in two different cabins and they both had lovely views, both dog friendly! The staff was kind and accommodating and the atmosphere amongst other visitors was warm and welcoming. It was also super convenient to be able to walk to the restaurant and bring our food and drinks back to our cabin to enjoy privately. We’ll definitely return the next time we visit the north shore.
