I am on a short road trip. I made a reservation at this motel via a booking service. I arrived after dark, and although the lights of the motel were on, the restaurant was dark. There was no office. Bewildered, I called the motel and learned I'd been sent an email with instructions on how to check in. Spent the night of 13 Sep 26 at this Inn and was VERY comfortable. Plenty of space in my room and if I didn’t have other plans, I wouldn’t have minded staying longer. I had dinner at the Cascade Inn Restaurant and I highly recommend this place for dining. The Tortellini Alfredo was delicious and the serving was so big I’m having leftovers tonight. The dinner included creamy chicken rice soup and a salad. The soup was delicious! If you get a chance to have some of that, I’d recommend doing so!

I really want to say good about this place but… the room was extremely clean the beds were very low to floor and mattress is so thin was not comfortable. Pillows had to fold in half to use. Ask for extra blankets and never received. The outside light on porch shown on all night because curtains would not shut all the way. The highway is so close to rooms you hear cars from restaurant and passing by. The restaurant parking was literally right by our door . The small refrigerator sat on floor beside the bed. Delicious food and ambience. We have been going here for over 20 years. So happy with the new owner as things are wonderful! I ordered the rack of lamb and it was cooked just perfectly. The mint Jelly was key. We always order the mushroom fritters and they were melt in your mouth delicious. We ordered the bruschetta appertizer as well and that was very savory. Price very fair. Simple & clean design to the rooms. *NO* bed bugs. Seamless check in. Make a left out of the parking lot and another left on Loj road and you have access to high peaks trails in 9 minutes or less (depending on if you are hitting the Loj or the other slightly closer to 73 lot). Heating & cooling split unit. Large television. I regret not trying the restaurant.
