Our last day of swimming lessons because our favorite teacher is leaving for due to poor board managment. My kids came in 8 min before lessons were to start, they are 10 and 12. We went to a birthday party at Cascade Community pool. She woke up the next morning with severe eye pain. She ended up getting viral conjunctivitis in both eyes, viral tonsil infection causing two severe ear infections. It was extremely hot and humid in there. We were confused because there was 0 smell of ANY chlorine or cleaning product. Her doctor informed me that these are all extremely perfect conditions for viruses and bacteria to breed. I like the employees. This a great community resource.
I recommend that you call to confirm that they are actually open before driving there - or check their Facebook page for the most up to date information. When they close down or cancel open swim times, they do not put notification on their website - that information can only be found on Facebook. Water is warm. Basic rectangular pool (no slide or diving board). Ventilation/air quality is poor. *Cascade: it would be super helpful if you put an explanation on your website stating that patrons should look at Facebook for the mo... read more
