I took the Columbia 400 into CAM, assuming that they are lancair people, the Annual would be done correctly. I was very disappointed. Many people have left, and the service level has declined significantly. Van bortel had just finished a significant annual, so CAM only needed to do a quick turnaround. I was charged for things that were not done, and many fastners were loose. I asked for an ifr cert and an update to the G1000, I was charged for this, and it was not done. CAM Aero seemingly has tremendous experience but when it came to rebuilding a Lancair 360 they fell short with integrity. They invoiced me for work I did, work they said they did and did not do, and for work they did improperly, such as not using safety wire, or adding 7 washers to the alternator mounting bolt. They used the wrong size fuel lines per the manual. They also used previously used fasteners and nylon nuts, spare and used hoses from around their shop, and they scratched my brand new engine up beyond comprehension.... read more
