Update 6/21/2026: We have been to this restaurant many times since our initial review. Today, we went for a late lunch/early dinner, after seeing a movie. Food is always great and this visit our waiter was Evander. Evander is such a fun guy--we had lots of laughs. He is prompt, friendly and informative about menu items. Lots of fun with him. Good food and great service. Prices are appropriate to the quantity and quantity of food.
Small place, but decent atmosphere when it's calm. It got really busy (630p on a Thursday) and became extremely crowded to the point my sister and I could not hear each other. As for the food, it's ok. I've definitely had better (Chicago). The pork tamale I ordered was not what I expected, slathered in some kind of white cream and cheese??? I don't know, it was not good. The molcajete is a fun dish. The flavor was good. Prices are reasonable.
