Bought a new unit a year and a half ago. Was recommended a Ruud instead of Trane like i originally wanted. My year and a half old unit stopped heating so I called to have it looked at. They showed up and said it would be a $1,000 repair because a line was not put on correctly. I was told neither factory warranty nor them could cover it. But they also said it’s a common problem. If it’s common why is it not prevented in the first place? I would expect a company to have a little more backing to their products than that.
