I tried to make a purchase today, January 3rd, and was told by staff that they do not accept digital gift cards. I went to another Carvel where they did accept it.

I was overcharged just because I asked for extra chocolate crunchies. I went on a Wednesday for buy one get one free. My husband and I ordered soft serve ice cream and I asked for extra chocolate crunchies as a topping. Also, I purchased a cup of chocolate crunchies. When I went to pay I was told it was $15.09. The large cup of ice cream was a little over $8.00. I asked how much was it for the cup of chocolate crunchies and was told it was $4.99. There was no sticker price on the cup. I am not one to write reviews typically but I felt obligated to after visiting this Carvel the other day. Not only is the ice cream fantastic as it always is at Carvel but the service is impeccable at this location. The blonde girl behind the counter was incredibly polite and helpful. She had a smile on her face the entire time she was serving my group and even though it was super busy, she made our ice cream wonderfully and efficiently. Service in this place is summed up with one word, RUDE. Walked in to make a purchase for my family and we were greeted with the nastiest look by the employee behind the counter, as if we had annoyed her with our presence. Was clearly bothered by our order of shakes, which is on the menu, so nothing out of the ordinary. Drops my wife’s shake because we dared to ask for whipped cream.
