I went to them to have a Smart Start put on my car on April 8th. Even though they had several customers, they were very helpful, and informative. They made an uncomfortable situation bearable. The only issue I had was with the device. While I was "training" to use the device, it violated me, obviously an error. Smart Lock refused to refund me for the violation, insisting that the device was working probably. So, loss of 1 star is actually against Smart Start, not Car Toys. My experience here was good until 2-15-25 when road guard said it was ok to go to my appointment earlier than expected for due date so I went (didn’t even know it wasn’t possible to do ) and was charged ($25.88 plus the $114.00 )on my card, I was told by manger I wasn’t able to get a refund cause he will be out of business or credit for my next appointment.. Really rude on the phone - was going to take my car here but based on the phone call maybe not. If this is how they act on the phone, they might key my car while I’m looking away in person.
I took my vehicle there to replace my font speakers. I basically spent my entire day waiting on them to do what should’ve been a simple task. However I was wrong. I was told they had to run a diagnostic test and this, that and third. Do yourself a favor and bypass this joke of a business. Don’t waste your time.
Spoke with Lance yesterday morning regarding tinting options. I decided to go with another company, but even so, he was super helpful in explaining stuff and very personable over the phone. He explained the options I had, and told me he wanted to make sure I got what I needed and wanted. Seems like an honest and good guy
