Carthage Classic Cars restored my 69 Firebird, and the results exceeded my expectations. From the the replacement sheet metal to bodywork, paint, the car turned out laser straight with perfect body lines. The mechanical work he did was spot on also. Throughout the build, Rick, the owner, worked closely with me to make sure the car turned out exactly how I wanted with lots of communication during the process. What impressed me most was the attention to detail and commitment to saving this car the right way. Thanks to his craft... read more

I found Rick and Carthage Classic Cars on YouTube and Facebook about a year and a half ago. After watching several of his videos I decided to reach out to him about taking on the metal work for my 1970 Plymouth Cuda. This car has been in my family since 1975 and I am very meticulous so I was not willing to trust my car to just anyone. Rick rebuilt the ... read more

Rick built my 69 Nova in 2025. He took the car down to a bare skeleton and rebuilt it with about 95% new parts. Additionally, he made changes in it to build it into a Pro Touring car with 4 link suspension, LS motor and 6 speed manual transmission. The quality of his builds is remarkable. The car is welded 3 times better than the factory did it. Every part is stripped to bare metal and covered with double or triple coats of epoxy primer to protect the car forever. The body panels are adjusted so every line is perfect and he ... read more

Car enthusiasts, If anyone is considering working with Rick through Carthage Classic Cars, I would highly recommend his shop. He has taken on my car (pictured below) and solved problems caused by me and other shops frankly. His knowledge and dedication to putting a plan in place to get you where you want to be with a restoration or build project is top shelf. Not to mention the meticulous record keeping and communication with documentation and pictures to back up the progress is something you’ll be impressed with. I am so th... read more

My experience with Carthage Classic Cars on a 1969 Charger R/T (Sept 2024–Mar 2025), by Gary D. Bottom line: In my opinion, the quality of finish metal work I received did not match what’s portrayed on YouTube. I strongly recommend inspecting finished cars in person before hiring. I hired Carthage Classic Cars for targeted metal repairs on my factory 440 Charger R/T. My goal was to preserve originality and only fix what was necessary. This was a solid car to begin with, yet the scope expanded far beyond what I intended, with... read more
