High winds overnight on 8/9/23 brought down a branch on our electrical line from the street. Called the utility office, was asked to confirm my contact information, and was told someone would be by to take a look. Maybe 30 minutes later, a young man stopped by, looked things over, and called for a crew to come out. He said it would be around 30 minutes, and two trucks and linemen showed up not long after that. Have lived in Cartersville for 7 years and always been in good standing on the account. Was 4 days late this month due to time of check landing in account and they charged a $30.00 late fee which they refused to remove.
To say this place is a joke would be an understatement. Nobody can help or give answers. They cut my power off repeatedly even though my account is on auto draft. I’ve lost over $1,000 in frozen groceries and had to spend almost $200 on a hotel stay and they have no answers or solutions for me. The staff is rude and they don’t know anything that’s going on. It’s been nothing but a displeasure and consistent incompetence dealing with these backwood hillbillies.
