Carter's Homes is a family business. Carter's Homes was established in 1969 as Carter's Mobile Home Sales by Dean & Juanita Carter. They thought it would compliment the opening of Carter's Sunrise Acres Mobile Home Park. In 1971 the Carters heard from prospective customers about a "well built" home on the market made in Bean Station, Tennessee called a "NORRIS". The Carter's called and visited the NORRIS factory and became "Your NORRIS Dealer" in Western North Carolina.

Had a hard time finding this place like in the middle of nowhere and there was hardly any doublwides on the property.
We started with a different manufacturer and got all through the process until the appraisal came in. The other place just started ignoring us. Decided to try Carters. This man is a gem. Family owned and knowledgeable. He’s a talker and loves people and the job. All said and done, we saved $50,000 compared to the other place. Didn’t have to sacrifice what we wanted and more square footage. If you’re looking, go talk to him.

Very helpful, much moreso than most manufactured home dealers. Sat down and talked to me to find out what I was looking for and helped guide me on the things I didn't know. Never felt pressured at all. Great guy. Edit: Took me a couple years, but I finally bought a house from Mr. Carter. Still the same friendly and helpful demeanor. Definitely recommend talking to him if you're in the market for a manufactured home.
