If you know how to read signs and obey rules, there's no problem. They can teach you gun safety, but it's better to at least Google it or have some idea of what you're doing, before you go. Thurman is excellent on the skeet range. Other skeet throwers are great and helpful. I'm there almost every weekend. I have been going to Carter's Country since I first moved to Spring in 1985. This is the finest range I've been to in the Houston area. My daughters learned to shoot rifles, pistols and shotguns here. A lot of great memories. The staff and owners are amazing and have watched my children grow. I have since moved to San Antonio and it has taken me several trips to different ranges to even find a comparable range. I visit Carter's country as often as I can when I return with my children.
