July 28, 2025 "Courtesy Repair" The initial repair was done in Jan/2018 on a vehicle's rear door. The vehicle was a 2017 Outback. The door was filled with more Bondo than was realized at the time by Carstar along the door car edge from a TD insurance claim. The Bondo did not stay intact. I have been told by some auto body professionals that Bondo Fill may not have been the best option during the Jan/2018 repair as Bondo used along a car's door edge may be too weak and prone to chipping in areas that experience a lot of flexi... read more

The initial repair was in Jan/2018 on a vehicle's rear door which was purchased new. The door was filled with more Bondo than was realized by me at the time by Carstar from an insurance claim. Some of the Bondo did not stay intact. I have been told of recent by auto body professionals that perhaps an alternative repair such as a door skin should have been considered given the amount of Bondo used, location of the Bondo and the fact it was a door subject to opening and closing.
