I recently took my pet to Carstairs Vet and overall, the staff were professional and caring, which I appreciated. However, I found one major issue that really affected the experience — the signage around the clinic is severely lacking and needs significant improvement. Finding the clinic was much harder than it should be, especially when coming in off the highway. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Renae. My GS Rocky suffered from Oral Melanoma for the past 1.5 years, and he had been under her care for a few months before it was time for him to cross the rainbow bridge. Although I did everything for my sweet angel, it wasn’t enough and Dr. Renae was there to help his cross the rainbow bridge. We were able to spend some extra time with Rocky in their grieving room and although it wasn’t what I had envisioned for the end of his life, it was the best scenario for the circumstances.... read more

Our German Shepherd is now 12 weeks post-op from bilateral TPLO surgery with Dr. Tom, and we truly can't say enough positive things about our experience with him and the entire team at Carstairs Veterinary Clinic. Our dog is doing very well, and we felt fully supported throughout — from pre-surgery consultations to every step of his recovery.
