Dr. Tom at Carstairs Vet Clinic is absolutely exceptional. He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and he truly took the time to listen and explain every step of the process for the surgery my dog needed. I just had my second experience at Carstairs Veterinary Clinic today. My first experience was back in 2022 when my family dog had 2 TPLO's done by Dr. Picherack. We had no issues with healing and she is still doing quite well at nearly 13 years old. Today, I saw Dr. Goyal for a dental consult as I wanted a second opinion. I was blown away by his calm and kind demeanor with my dog, and taking the time to answer all my questions. Collie has had two TPLO surgeries here, and Dr. Tom and the Carstairs Vet team have been absolutely excellent with his care. From the initial consultations to post-op follow-ups, they were professional, compassionate, and very thorough in explaining each step of the process. They truly went above and beyond to make sure my dog was comfortable and recovering well. I’m incredibly grateful for their expertise and kindness, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Carstairs Vet to anyone looking for outstanding veterinary care!!!
Dr. Tom Picherack was highly recommended to me by my vet clinic for his skill and for an affordable price for TPLO surgery for a torn cruciate ligament. My dog’s surgery was textbook and her recovery was exactly as predicted. I of course had a significant role in this.
