This mortgage lender is extremely bad. I signed my mortgage on 1/29/2025 and paid escrow at closing. They didn’t pay my home insurance and it got canceled. I had to pay a penalty. Then Carrington charged me a late fee for February when my closing was 1/29 and I set up automatic payment on 2/11! I called and asked for a refund on the late fee but they wouldn’t and said send a written letter to a fax number to have it reviewed. Carrington should be shut down.

We had to correspond with them regarding an insurance check that we needed to have them sign off on, and return. We went to major expense to overnight and include a return overnight envelope to expedite the service. After a week passed, I had to call to enquire as to why it was taking so long. I was informed that they needed additional information, BUT no one from their company bothered to inform us of this. VERY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES. If the circumstances were reversed, I would probably be out on the street!
