As soon as I figure out how much equity I have I'm ditching them. Was recently switched over to this company from Rocket Mortgage. People tell you 8 different things. They're just too inconsistent for me. Why do we have switch lenders anyway?
I have been with Carrington for several years. Paid religiously on time and I have never caused them a problem. I am currently working through the claim process after having hail/wind damage to my home. 10/10 would not recommend going through this process with Carrington. My insurance paid the bill, but my mortgage company will not do their part. I cannot get the process concluded, the check endorsed, or even a call or email back. There should be nothing but a partnership here, and they disappoint.
More interested in their image and their owner's profits than their customers. Assumable mortgage? Sure, they'll process it. In 3 months. There is no legitimate reason to take that long. This practice harms the seller by forcing them to pay extra payments they weren't anticipating and it hurts they buyer by delaying their move in. Oh, wah wah, you don't get to make any money off it? Too bad. Neither does anyone else, but that is not the buyer or the sellers fault. Do your jobs.
