Carrier residential furnaces drain is full garbage to install
I tried to buy a replacement part for a carrier furnace, but they refused to tell me the price over the phone without seeing proof of my Journeyman certificate. As an industrial maintenance electrician I am very used to purchasing from distributors but I have never experienced this type of gate keeping, nor do I think it's appropriate for a distributor to request credentials for a cash sale. I had to purchase an unbranded replacement off Amazon because of this.
