Revisited this great place again today. Thursdays is fried chicken special and it is delicious. The service here is the best. This place is absolutely outstanding. Their fried chicken is definitely in the top three I have ever had. Their food is all delicious as comfort food, country cooking, or old fashioned German influenced recipes. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and kept very clean. The service is great and they can make legit menu recommendations. Really hate to knock our local businesses, but last night the food was mediocre and the service was even worse. The gizzards were undercooked and extremely tough, daughter-in-law thought the burger tasted like a Dewig’s frozen patty and the majority of the food arrived barely warm at best. Had the server returned to the table to check on us, I would have made them aware of the issues instead of writing a review. We then had to wait 30 minutes to just get the check. Very disappointing. Kitchen staff very loud and foul mouth and could be hear out in dining room. 2 of the items we ordered they didn't have ready. The waitress ask if I wanted left overs from lunch. All the items we ordered were frozen . German slaw was dry and tasteless. Sautéed mushrooms were from a can and heated on a grill no sauce and tasteless.
