The Carrabelle History Museum opened in April 2009. Personal memorabilia and local artifacts tell the history and culture of Carrabelle from the eyes of its long term residents. Exhibit items include prehistoric Native American pottery shards and ancient fossils, tools from turpentine, lumber and commercial fishing industries; plus city arrest records, old newspapers, historical photos and keepsakes… and an endless supply of fascinating stories.

One of the best museums on the great loop. Wonderful host/curator truly "knows everything about everything" when it comes to Carrabelle history.

Very neat place to visit. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

Everyone was so helpful and they even stayed open late because my wife and I arrived only 10 minutes before closing. I was able to get a copy of a picture of my great great grandmother.
