We stopped by out of curiosity and had a great experience. The Rangers here are very helpful and saved us a lot of time pointing out all the best places to view and the best route up the canyon.
Haven't been inside the actual visitor center, as I try to hike during the week to avoid crowds, but the surrounding area was nice- picnic tables, plants, etc., and well kept. The ruins are interesting, but in my opinion the best part is this is one of the starting points for the Perimeter Trail- super easy, you'll do 7 miles out and back without noticing. If you go north to south from Carr parking, you'll come out at Lower Miller Canyon parking and likely see deer. And if you're lucky, maybe a mouse stuffed rattlesnake like... read more
