I was stranded in Raton, New Mexico, with leaking transmission cooling lines... on a Friday afternoon. There is little to no hope of finding the replacement lines for a 2002 GMC, let alone a shop to install them, on a weekend. Luckily, someone referred me to CarQuest, (Raton American Parts), in downtown Raton. Oz was very helpful, and even came out and crawled under my truck to help me figure out where the leak was. Walked in off the street with a very old flywheel thinking I would have to buy one if one could even be found. Ryan took a look at it and said they could resurface it and they could have it ready in a couple of hours. Instead of costing me $700, it cost $35 and it looks brand new. Thanks guys. Beyond happy.
We stopped here to have a "check engine" light looked into. The shop was very busy but made time for us and were very helpful and reassuring. We were able to complete our trip without worries. We are glad to know of a good shop in Raton and recommend them highly.
