I set out to view the Carpinteria Seal Rookery. Basically this is a restricted beach area for humans but where seals gather to hang out and live their best life. The viewing area is free, no charge. Before I go further I want to tell ya all that "messing" (includes physically approaching and intruding in restricted areas) with the seals is a federal violation resulting in $10,000 fine.
