Based on the strength of these reviews I called Rudolph when my backyard storage bench caved in. This was mere days before I was to host a party. I needed a miracle. Luckily Rudolph was available. He showed up, assessed the situation, made a quick trip to the lumber shop and a few hours later the bench was back in business, and for a reasonable price. The party was saved. I will absolutely collaborate with Rudolph again. Quality, congenial, worth it. Thanks, Rudolph.

I hired Rudolph from Carpentry by Rudolph based on his skills, and while things began fine, he soon became unreliable. He often claimed to call or show up when our cameras and notifications proved otherwise. I repeatedly followed up; he promised to come, didn’t, and this happened multiple times. We had a package deal for doors and windows, but midway, he changed plans, added costs, and then abandoned the job, even after taking payment for those additions. This was hands down the best experience I’ve had in NYC — period. I’ve dealt with my share of carpenters who did sloppy and disappointing work, but Rudolph is on a whole other level. Not only is he an incredible craftsman, he’s also genuinely kind and brings the best energy to his work. He’s fair, incredibly detailed, and his mastery of his craft shows in everything he does. Honestly, he’s beyond words. I’m so happy I found him!

I can not recommend Rudolph enough. He absolutely saved the day here. We hired another carpenter to do a custom built bed for my son. We lacked the space for a store bought bed and needed storage built in to make the best use of his space. After almost 3 weeks of work, the frame was built, but there were a number of issues including cheap plywood to build the drawers, etc. After telling him they needed to be redone because they were falling apart, he did not show up and we were left hanging high and dry.
