RecommendedCharles had my daughter's car up there today. Had a ton of work done. He did great work and gave us a fair price. Carpenters Auto service is the only one I trust
when I worked at Hairworks, Charles was starting out. That was mid to late 70's.
Here's a place to avoid: Carpenter's Auto Service, in Charlotte. They did the "bait and switch" routine on repairs. It's amazing how a $57 quote can grow into a $200+ job with the owner (?) claiming he never gave us that quote although both my husband and I clearly heard it over the car speaker. There's more, but...it always boils down to trust or its lack. I hope the job was done well however this man was less than honest and that counts more than the service itself. Never again.

My mom became a customer of Carpenter's Auto Service when he first opened his shop, and once I was old enough to drive I became a customer, too! It's a bit inconvenient for me these days but I make the long drive because (1) Charles offers quality service at a fair price, and (2) women are treated honestly, fairly, and with respect. Ladies, ever go for an oil change and wind up being presented with a $500 quote for "repairs" your car supposedly needs? This won't happen at Carpenter's. Very honest people that provide outstanding customer service. This was my first time using them and they did a great job on my brakes for my Chevy Blazer. They explain what needs to be done and why. Definitely will be using them again.
