OMG Please visit this place! It is so cute and is a sea turtle sanctuary. This is a great stop in the way to a beach day with the family or friends. They have an access point to the water from the inside. They do interactive feedings where you can watch the rescued turtles eat. The inside house is cute and has a/c where there is more info on the turtles and cute kids corner. It is not an all day visit but I would say about 2-3hrs can be used up there. Travel back in time, plus learn what is being done to protect native FL aquatic life, here in Hollywood North Beach by Nova Universityand friends. We'll trained, we'll spoken staff will guide you along in the 'Carpenter home..stop by the gift shop, see the giant turtles which cannot safely be returned to the ocean for various reasons. Our beautiful oceans, let's care for them, and ALL the life thein. DONATIONS ARE GLADLY ACCEPTED HERE. VOLUNTEERS ALSO WELCOME.
Carpenter House is an amazing, little‑known wildlife rescue center affiliated with Nova University. The staff and volunteers are outstanding, and mentors like Natalie and Dan make it an inspiring place for young volunteers. I’m especially proud of my son Sebastian, who has been volunteering for months and brings so much energy and passion. He knows every animal’s story and even 3D‑printed models of the turtles to help visitors understand their injuries. This place is a treasure and deserves far more attention.
