I walked into the cleaners with my clothing. There was an old Asian lady ( ~70s) working. She was helping an older white gentleman. When she finished with him, I thought she would help me. She completely ignored me, walked to her alterations and kept her head down. I waited what felt like a long minute and eventually left the store. I don't think I've ever experienced discrimination outright but I guess first time for everything 🥺

I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. I spilled black tea all over an expensive linen blazer on my first time wearing it to a conference and was devastated. There were tea stains across the entire front and both sleeves to the point where I had to point to the lapel to show them the original color of the blazer. When I brought it in, they inquired after what I stained it with, what, if anything, I had done to try to treat the stain myself, and looked at the material.
