Mrs. Grimes was my divorce attorney almost 10 years ago now. I will forever be grateful for her guidance, her kindness and understanding of my situation. Was my ex-wife's lawyer so take me with a grain of salt. Carolyn didn't seem to diffuse any situation, it was always adding fire onto my ex-wife's flames. Mediation was long and difficult. Also a lot of spelling errors from them and explanations to them.
It’s always hard when reading reviews of lawyers online because there is always two sides and often the reviews are polar opposites. Additionally it’s not appropriate to broadcast the case details online especially when it involves kids that could one day read these types of reviews. What I can say is that when you walk into court and even opposing council refers to your lawyer as a “living legend” in the family court system in Virginia then it’s a good sign, or it’s just Carolyn Grimes.
