Both of my children have been seeing Dr. Tan for going on four years now. Each child had an early diagnosis of ADHD but developed a co-morbidities (before we saw Dr. Tan) complicated their treatment. Not only has she managed to effectively treat my children, she has proven to pro-active and flexible. She has anticipated changes in both and effectively altered their treatment plans. She walks you through every decision, every change, so both parent and patient know what to expect going forward.

I have been Dr.Tan’ and very knowledgeable in dealing with complex mental issues. Unlike many psychiatrists she takes the time to really understand how you are doing by listening and asking pertinent questions as opposed to simply prescribe meds without truly understanding how one is coping with their mental problems. I highly recommend her.

My son was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome by Dr. Tan when he was in the 6th grade, he starts the 11th grade this year. Dr. Tan has a way with kids and adults on the spectrum. She is highly intelligent, travels to continue her education and dedication to the Autism community with facts and new findings. Her guidance with my son in helping him understand Aspergers and what to expect and how to deal with his behaviors and why he thinks differently has enriched his life tremendously.

Satisfied client of Dr. Tan's! She is knowledgeable on both common and rare conditions. Explains diagnosis, and treatments thoroughly. Recommends medications when needed, and willing to work with dosages to find best level. Also can do genetic testing to more easily determine which meds will work best for client - if meds are needed at all. Easy to schedule appointments. We had tried a few other doctors before finding Dr. Tan, but have been happy client of Dr. Tans for years now.

This doctor was not a good fit for our family. We found her difficult to communicate with and caused us undue anxiety. She also wanted to perscribe a lot of medication which, thankfully, was determined to be unnecessary by another psychiatrist we saw.

Dr. Tan is very patient and accommodating. My son was in a crisis mode and needed immediate intervention. Our regular child psychiatrist was out-of-town and could not be reached. Dr. Tan was the only one who was able to squeeze us into her schedule. My son liked her more than his regular doctor. I am seriously considering switching doctors.
