I had PT at Atrium Health Physical Therapy in Matthews first for my knee and then for my ankle. I had an incredible experience working with so many of the physical therapists there! Jessica, Garrett, Monique and Jason were all so professional, friendly and great at what they do. They tailored the exercises to my interests and always made them engaging. This was one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had with a medical office. I called the day before my appointment to confirm and was clearly told everything was set. There was no mention of any issue or that my appointment wasn’t actually confirmed. I arrived on time, checked in, and was left sitting in the waiting area for 45 minutes with no updates. I had a deeply disappointing experience with Tamara at this rehab center. In my opinion, she demonstrated a concerning lack of empathy and professionalism throughout my physical therapy sessions. I was receiving treatment for lower back issues, and rather than offering encouragement, her repeated remarks such as “Oh, you’re not that strong” and “you could have done better” came across as dismissive and discouraging.
