Had a stroke on July 12 and surgery on July 14 to fix the problem. On July 21started physical therapy with the best doctors, nurses, cna's and therapist in New Bern. There was a lot of long days rehabbing but it all paid off because I came home on July 30 and felt very confident in being able to stay by myself. I am able to walk without falling and fix my breakfast and lunch while my son and daughter bring me supper. It took nearly two months for anyone to even call me back after my doctor at Carolina East referred me to their outpatient physical therapy clinic. I called every day for a week, then every week after that, and was put on hold to be hung up on more than once. Sometimes the phone just rang endlessly.
