Texas-style BBQ that is so good. When traveling, we will go 100 miles out of the way to eat here. Very plain, barn- or shed-style interior. Beef and pork barbeque that is slightly sweet and mildly tangy. Slow cooked over a wood fire. As you drive by the aroma in the air draws you in. That's how we found this humble little piece of heaven in the Smokey Mountains of NC.
Carolina Smokehouse Inc What can I say other than the food is awesome. I have been visiting Carolina Smokehouse for quite a few years now and I will continue to do so. Rob and Tammy has made this place an excellent place to eat.
Excellent! Love this place! They have great food at affordable prices. I love the pulled pork, it's so tender and full of flavor! I also make sure to buy a bottle of their barbecue sauce to take home with me. If you remember Alton Brown's show Feasting on Asphalt on Food Network, Carolina Smokehouse was also featured on one of the episodes. I'm proud to say we discovered it and had it on our list of favorites before it was on Food Network!
The best decision I ever made! Back home in MI and I keep searching for a BBQ place with the flavor that this place had. Stumbled on it by accicent. Brought home a few jars of sauce but they are gone now. I definately know where I'll be stopping when I get back to that part of the country.
