Died and Gone to Heaven BBQ I'm a potter in the River Arts District where one of the 12 Bones is, and I must say that it never gets old eating there. I've never had anything that wasn't delicious...perfectly cooked and seasoned. The corn pudding is about the best thing I ever ate. Sauces for every palate and their collards are just wonderful. Service is fast, the atmosphere very down home.
RUDEST cashier ever! Great ribs! Probably the best I have ever had. BUT the rudest cashier ever. When asked what kind of ribs the President got when he was there the answer from her was: "I don't know and I don't care." That was rude in anybody's book. It was not a political question I asked. Just asking out of general curiosity. What ever happened to civility? Ribs= 5 stars Cashier=0 stars
Taste Sensation What they do with the corn pudding, and the green beans, ought to be illegal, because they are so sinfully delicious. Thanks to their takeout, we have hosted many satisfied dinner guests. We have family in Georgia, that make a trip to Twelve Bones when they come up. And three final words-- blueberry chipotle sauce!
Corn Puddin This is good eatin' - they're got some kind of Corn Pudding stuff that makes my stomach growl to think about it.
the best out there I grew up eating bbq in eastern nc, so I am very, very picky! 12 bones beats any bbq i have had, ever. including the future. i would love to know their secret. i just wish they were open on weekends!
End all be all of BBQ Twelve Bones is what i'd call true Artisan BBQ. Having tried every reputable BBQ shop wherever i've lived in the South, Twelve Bones opened my eyes to an altogether new, wholly unforgettable level of yum that is thusfar unmatched anywhere else. I tend to stick with the basic Pulled Pork - it's extremely tender and moist, and you have you choice of sauces to toss into the mix. Truly Unmatched Food This is an incredible restaurant. They must add some kind of addictive ingredient to most of the dishes, because you'll crave it afterward. The lines get long, but hang in there. It is in my Top 5 of all time.
Best BBQ Anywhere!!! Twelve Bones has THE best BBQ anywhere! The food is supremely excellent. They have a lot of choices for side dishes that are always scrumptous! There is always a line so expect to wait a few minutes but it gives you time to decide what you want. It can get hot inside in the summer but they have a nice outdoor eating area too. The sauces are delectable! I always try a little of each. YUMMY!!!
