It has been a good experience here. Food is good, nurses and CNA's are good to me. Therapy department and the nurses have taken very god care of me.
I've been to Harrisonburg Health & Rehab every time! Everyone is really good to me so that's why I go back!
My mom was released to this facility from the hospital. She was of sound mind when she got to this place. Now, just over a week later, she's crazy. She has fallen 3 times in 48 hours. Her sugar has been dangerously low so I don't know if someone's not doing their job or they are just that short-staffed. She was previously at Avante where she was receiving good care and was always in her right mind and never had a fall in the 2.5 months she was there. My name is Jennifer and I'm an employee at the facility and I love the building renovations that are taking place. I also love the new Management team, this facility is a great facility to have your love ones come to and become apart of our family. We have a good group of employees here.
I would recommend this place to others. My transition from the hospital to Salem Health and Rehab was smooth. The people here are good from the nurses, CNA's to the therapist. The food is good, especially the meatloaf. I like coming to the different activities and have made a few friends here.
I recently had my mother placed in this facility and was quite pleased with her rehab and the care she received. By no means were they perfect, but anytime I had a concern, I spoke with the new Administrator and it was addressed and no longer an issue. My father had been here several years ago and we were satisfied with his care; but my family and I can definitely see a positive change at this facility.
I went here to gain mobility after a severe fall and fracturing my pelvic. My 5 star rating for expertise goes to the physical therapists! I had the privilege of working with several, all of them very compassionate and knowledgeable. Special recognition to Matthew & Lauren, my first therapists which set the tone & plan for my quick recovery. They gave me the tools and skills to be successful and build my confidence. I have been to four other facilities and this is by far the best experience that I have had. The therapy and nursing staff were so friendly and genuinely cared about my progression. The place was spotless and you always say housekeeping staff out cleaning. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
Newly renovated facility with great reputation and staff. Great care provided and small enough to have a family like atmosphere.
