I’m writing this because my friend was seriously ill with pneumonia and was turned away from this urgent care over a balance under 20.00 that needed paying. The front desk told her they couldn’t bill it, despite knowing her condition upon arrival and her son being confirmed with pneumonia while there. We were on the phone and when she drove 25 minutes to their sister clinic, the staff there confirmed they absolutely could have billed it it was a choice the front desk made. My wife and son came into the clinic for help when they began coughing up yellow fluid and unable to breathe due to what we would later find out was pneumonia. The front desk staff traumatized by son with their callous behavior and neglected someone sick over a copay that was within their capability to bill. They chose money over humanity and were cruel to her in the process. Shout out to the nice front desk staff in Reidsville who called billing and worked everything out with empathy. Poor customer service and willing to humiliate people over their insurances and bills. I have been on a long battle with them as they claim to have no problem with Tricare or Medicaid but treat both patient sets horrifically at the front desk. Billing has been kind to me, but the front desk has repeatedly told me they won't help and can't help me over a billing error they made and sent me away. I took my business to NextCare.
