Excellent source of information and contacts on sustainability in agriculture.
Went to a sponsored class on planting in sandy soils. It was very informative.
Excellent resource--I hope to attend their annual conference again next year, as I learned so much the year I did attend. And came home with mushroom plugs and instruction on how to "plant" them!
I worked for CFSA for 4 years. Now that I'm "retired" I can leave a review without sounding biased :0p. This is an organization that really does change farmers lives for the better. Their policy department has helped revise legislation that, in its attenpt to regulate large corporate farms, risked pricing small family farms out of the business altogether. If you live in North or South Carolina, CFSA membership is a great way to suppport your local, sustainable farmer.
We have been members for many years, even worked as SC Upstate coordinator in that chapters infancy. I have learned so much over the years from classes, farm tours and the wisdom of individual members, knowledge I could never have collected any where else.
Carolina Farm Stewardship has a 4.7 star rating with 57 reviews.
Carolina Farm Stewardship is closed now. It will open on Monday at 9:00 a.m.
