Carolina East Medical Center was wonderful to my husband and myself as well..If any of you have been in Onslow Memorial before,you would definitely think twice before saying any of the things bad about Carolina East.There is no perfect place to be I know,But when you go to a hospital to be treated especially when your body has no signs of life at all.And there is no Neurologist at all in the town .You will be glad to go to Carolina East.My husband was completely gone,no pluse,no breath,NOTHING for 8 days.Can you even imagine... read more
Horrible doctors as well as nurses. Dismissed any concerns. After a week of being there 2 daya later went to Carteret with 3 abcesses in my abdomen and nearly died. I tried telling the surgery staff but they're just horrible. Carteret did emer. surgery again and saved my life. The surgical drs. Bates and ballard should not be allowed to practice medicine. Dr. Drury in Morehead City saved my life. Stay away from Carolina East in New Bern!!!! Your life depends on it
I arrived via ambulance at the ER on 6/15/10 due to a double herniated disk in my lower spine that was compressing against my sciatic nerve and causing some of the most extreme pain I have ever felt in my life. Before even being evaluated a nurse told the paramedic to "just put him in a wheel chair and tale him to urgent care". At this point I was in tears of to the pain.
