I have had the privilege of receiving care at Carolina Ear and Hearing since 2019. The staff here are wonderful. From the front desk to check out, I have always received professional and compassionate care and services. I started with audiology for my condition and ultimately had to have surgery as it progressed. Over the last 7 years, staffing has been consistent with the addition of some new faces. After one neurologist and 4 ENT visits without a concrete diagnosis, Dr. McElveen was the only one that was able to figure out the cause of my symptoms and provide me with a successful treatment plan. I am so grateful to have met him! I have a PhD in the medical field and always flood Dr. McElveen with questions, who patiently answers all of them. I am amazed by his knowledge, his kindness, and that he is very up to date with research in the field as well. Highly recommend!
I was very disappointed in my appointment. My words were spoken on deaf ears. I have had problems with my left ear for months. I was asked “If I could do one thing for you today, what would it be”. My response was to solve the ear aches, difficulty swallowing and tinnitus. After all, it’s what I scheduled an appointment for. Diagnosis: Tinnitus and reflux. I was referred to Dr. McElveen for an itchy ear problem that had been bothering me for over two years. My ENT treated me with several different medications that didn’t work and finally sent me to Carolina Ear & Hearing Clinic. Within the first month they were able to diagnose, treat, and cure my condition. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic.
Dr. Johnson played an integral part of helping me heal quickly from viral vertigo. He explained every part of the testing process and made me feel at ease with how long it may take me to heal. I highly recommend this office for any balance and/or hearing needs.
