Formal Dress Hell I live in Holly Springs, so it's approximately an hour drive to Smithfield. My friend is having a formal wedding so I decided to buy a formal dress from Carolina Bridal World, since everyone in the wedding party purchased their dresses there. The woman measured my bust, hips, and waist but never took my height; I'm an average height of 5'5''. Worst Customer service ever!!!!!! I went with my future sister and law a few days ago and I would defenetly not recomend this place, they were not helpfull at all!!!!!! I took a picture of the dress i wanted to try and the girl at the store asked the manager if they had it and she was't even paying attention to her...so I step in and showed the manager the picture..... This is the place to go! I found the perfect dress for the perfect price at this store! They were wonderful! You can try on dresses at your convenience, as many as you like. They have all the matching accessories and you dont have to buy EVERYTHING! I was able to rent the "poofy" thing! The shoes were inexpensive and so were the alterations! I was completely happy with everything on my big day! I recommend this place to EVERYONE!
Great Customer Service As a former employee of Carolina Bridal World, I would like to encourage prospective customers to check out the store for themselves. No business can ever meet everyone's expectations, but add in the emotional rollercoaster of planning a wedding, and small issues can seem HUGE to a prospective bride..I truly think that the show Bridezillas has given many future brides the idea that everything can be dealt with rudely and in a demanding way. poor customer service, bad alterations At first, we didn't mind the long drive to get there because we were told the prices were reasonable, and did find a cute maid of honor dress and wedding dress. We were encouraged by the store associates to have it altered there so we could be confident it would be done well. After being altered, the wedding dress had dirt on it and the bra cups were sewn in lopsided, so we had to pay to have it cleaned and cups re-done. Then the maid of honor's dress was ruined. Another Bad Experience I really wish we had read the user reviews on this site and others before finalizing the purchase of 5 bridesmaid dresses from this store - I would have implored our party to go elsewhere, even if it meant spending more money. ordered the wrong dress/dresses in store damaged when i got married i didnt even go to this store to look a dress due to a bad past experience. for my cousins wedding i was a bridesmaid (1 of 2) when we went to look for dresses i would said 70% of the dresses in the store had strings hanging off, were missing beading, or had dirt/stains. she still ordered our two bridesmaid dresses and the 2 jr bridesmaid dresses there. all the same color, 2 different styles, 2 of each style. when they came in there were 3 of 1 and 1 of the ... read more
Greatest experience from start to finish! I am a bride to be and I, along with several of my bridesmaids, visited several bridal stores from lexington to burlington to greensboro to cary to my last stop in Smithfield at Carolina Bridal World. I was so upset by the time i reached CBW because i could not find a dress, never had assistance at the stores about which was a good fit for me and mostly just all around bad service. Wide variety This store has a wide variety of both wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses as well as a nice selection of shoes and accessories. They have separate dressing rooms, which is nicer than the other big dress retailer in the state. We did not get a lot of help from the salespeople even though we were one of the few people in the store but they did have an extensive selection of dresses to choose from.
