Hello I’m Carol I am a registered nurse and a certified lactation consultant. I have over 32 years experience working in labor and delivery and post partum. I became certified as a lactation consultant in 2016 and opened my practice the same year. As a lactation consultant I have worked closely with moms and babies assisting with latch issues, breast and nipple issues, milk supply issues and many other problems. I had my first child and had no idea what I was doing. Even after getting advice from the hospital staff, midwife and others on how to breastfeed, my baby still wouldn't latch or feed properly. As a last resort, I found Carol Branchaud. I should have contacted her sooner. It only took one house visit and within a few days, we were latching and feeding. Carol is amazing! Her expertise allowed me to breast feed my baby comfortably for much longer than I believed possible. She was the professional who recommended having our child’s tongue tie clipped after a thorough examination done on both my baby and myself and recommended a great dentist in Ottawa ti us for the procedure. She also was available for follow up and/or multiple visits to ensure the best possible outcomes. So thankful she was referred to us!!
Carol was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to the latching issues I was having. She came up with creative solutions as well. She was also accommodating to my goals that had changed throughout my visits. I am still successfully breastfeeding to this day because of her help
