Really a nice doctor but she can't manage her time at all. I have never waited less than an hour for an appointment that was scheduled 6 months prior. The normal wait was 1.5 -2 hours. Then when she decided to dump HMO patients I went to the doctor they recommended. This doctor said since there were so many coming over from her she didn't want my records - she didn't have room. The hippocratic oath reads: "...first, do no harm..." That's not the mentality I encountered while visiting Dr. Kotzan, as a teen and young adult. In my opinion, she took valuable years of health and wellness from me. I want nothing from her and I have no agenda, other than to tell my story honestly, in the hopes that it will ensure that others will not experience anything similar. Dr. Kotzan is a caring, compassionate doctor. She has been my doctor for more than 20 years and I think so highly of her that I drive from Naperville where I live to see her at her office in Crystal Lake. She takes the time to help with all of a patients concerns. Dr. Kotzan goes over and above and is the best Dr. I have ever had!
